I222A 52.245-9G10 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY DSCR (APR 2005)
AND MECHANICAL GAUGES (LOANED)

(a) Government Property Clause: FAR Clause 52.245-2,
Government Property (Fixed Price Contracts) (MAY 2004), is
incorporated herein by reference. The Government will furnish
the mechanical gauges specified below for use in the performance
of this contract. All other material will be furnished by the
contractor. The GFP Monitor, Strategic Material Sourcing Group,
DSCR-FAGD, Phone (804)279-4642, will be notified when Government
Furnished Property (GFP) described herein is not received by the
contractor within the time specified in (c)(1) below.
(b) Transporting Government Furnished Property (GFP): The
Government will bear the cost of transporting the GFP described
herein from Tobyhanna, PA to the plant as identified in this
paragraph. Such costs will be used in the evaluation of the offer.
Therefore, offerors must indicate in the space below the name and
address of the plant where the GFP will be utilized. If such is
not so indicated, the Government will assume, and evaluate offers
on the assumption, that the GFP will be delivered to the plant
specified by the offeror in paragraph (b) of Clause 52.247-9G17
(Sec K), Production Facilities. If no plant is indicated in the
offer, the offer will be evaluated on the basis of delivery to the
contractor's business address indicated in the offer. If the
offeror uses a shipping point other than that which has been
used by the Government as a basis for the evaluation of offers,
any increases of transportation costs shall be borne by the
contractor and any savings shall revert to the Government.

(c) Data on GFP to be Furnished and Delivery Schedule:
(1) The delivery schedule contained herein is based on the
assumption that the delivery of GFP will be made to the contractor
within forty-five (45)days after award. If this assumption is not
realized, the Contracting Officer shall upon timely written request
made by the contractor, make an equitable adjustment in accordance
with the Government Property Clause.
(2) At no cost to the contractor, except as noted in
paragraph (b) above, the Government will furnish the materials
for use in the performance of the resulting contract in the
quantity required, based on the unit allowance specified as
follows:

(d) Contractor's Receipt for GFP: Concurrently with each
shipment of GFP the Government will furnish the contractor with
shipping documents setting forth the exact quantity of property
furnished. Within five days after receiving GFP, the contractor
will acknowledge on the shipping document receipt of said GFP and
return said document to the Defense Supply Center Richmond, 8000
Jefferson Davis Highway, ATTN: Strategic Material Sourcing Group,
DSCR-FAGD, Richmond, VA 23297-5862.
(e) Inspection of Government-Furnished Property: The
contractor shall arrange with the cognizant Government quality
assurance activity for inspection of the property within thirty
(30) days after receipt and shall promptly report all damaged or
defective property. When the contractor considers that any
damage is attributable to the carrier, the contractor will also
have confirming inspection made by the carrier's representative.
(f) Purpose and Use of GFP Mechanical Gauges:
(1) Gauges shall be subject to the requirements of:
(i) ISO/ANSI/ASQC Q9001 or Q9002, or equivalents
as applicable; and
(ii) ISO 10012-1 or ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, or
equivalents.
(2) The contractor shall thoroughly check the gauge
drawings against the Government-furnished equipment drawings.
Discrepancies shall be reported in writing to the Administering
Contracting Officer. Negative reports are required.
(3) Gauges shall be used only for quality conformance
inspection in accordance with specification and/or drawing(s).
(4) The contractor shall make gauges available to
Government Quality Assurance Representative in accordance with
inspection requirements applicable to this contract.
(g) Return of GFP Mechanical Gauges to the Government:
(1) When the GFP mechanical gauges set forth in (c)
above are no longer required for use by the contractor or
Government Quality Assurance Representative, but no longer than
completion of the delivery of end items or termination of this
contract, the contractor shall deliver to the Government all of
said GFP gauges, unless directed otherwise by the Contracting Officer.
(2) The contractor shall notify the cognizant
Government quality assurance activity to arrange for inspection
by the Government Quality Assurance Representative of the
condition of the gauges before they are packed for return to
the Government.
(3) The contractor shall prepare, package and pack such
gauges for shipment in accordance with Level B of MIL-G10944 and
deliver for return or disposition F.O.B. carrier's equipment, wharf
or freight station, at the Government's option, in the city and state
of the plant identified in paragraph (b) above. The packages shall
be marked for the consignee as follows:
