DSCR I92B: OPTION FOR INCREASED QUANTITY - SEPARATELY PRICED LINE ITEMS

    (a)  The Government may require the delivery of the numbered 
line item, identified in the schedule as an option item, in the 
quantity and at the price stated in the schedule.  The Contracting 
Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor 
within the period specified below.  Delivery performance of added 
items shall continue at the rate called for under the contract, 
unless the parties otherwise agree.

    (b)  This option may be exercised by the Contracting Officer 
from time to time by written notice dispatched to the Contractor 
not later than 90 days before the final scheduled delivery/
performance completion date specified for the primary increment, 
provided, however, that if the offeror requires a longer notice 
period in order to assure continuous production or completion within 
the time period allotted for optional increments, such period 
will be shown by the offeror below.

    (c)  The time of delivery/performance completion date(s) for 
the item(s) added by the exercise of this option shall be computed 
from the date of the option exercise.  Unless the parties otherwise 
agree, the time of delivery/performance completion period for 
option items added shall be as specified in Section F, provided 
however, that in no event will the contractor be required to deliver/
perform option items prior to the final delivery/performance 
completion date specified for primary items at the time this 
contract is awarded.

    (d)  The offeror agrees to furnish the option items as 
specified, provided however, in the event the offeror requires 
a notice of exercise of the option longer than the period set forth 
above, such period will be entered below:
