DSCR I26C: OPTION FOR INCREASED QUANTITY - FPI DELIVERY ORDERS

    (a)  DSCR may increase the basic quantity specified in the 
delivery order by increments up to 100% of the total for each 
National Stock Number (NSN) cited in the order.

    (b)  The quantity option must be exercised by written notice 
from the Contracting Officer within _______ days after receipt of 
the order.  A modification to the delivery order will be issued to 
incorporate the option.

    (c)  Delivery of the option quantity shall be at the same rate 
as the scheduled delivery of like items called for under the 
delivery order, less any time provided in the order for production, 
testing, and approval of first article, if applicable.  In no event 
will FPI be required to deliver option quantities prior to the 
earliest delivery date scheduled for the basic quantity.

    (d)  Federal Prison Industries will quote on the option at 
their discretion.  If FPI quotes on the option, DSCR will evaluate 
the basic and option quantity prices separately and, at the 
discretion of the Contracting Officer, may or may not incorporate 
the option into the delivery order.  The terms and conditions for 
the option quantity will be in accordance with the delivery order, 
unless changes are mutually accepted by FPI and DSCR.
