  APPLICABLE TO ITEMS ________________________________________________                                          

    (a)  Installation as defined in this solicitation includes removing old 
equipment (if any) from, and placing and installing new equipment acquired 
under this solicitation in the _______________________________ in an area 
designated by the Contracting Officer or his representative.  New equipment 
shall be completely installed by the Contractor and shall be in good operating 
condition, acceptable in both cases to the Contracting Officer or his 
representative.

    (b)  Installation includes the furnishing of all accessories and 
hardware's, including but not limited to (1) contacts, (2) valves, 
(3) connections, (4) switches, (5) gauges, (6) wiring, (7) tubing, etc., 
and the furnishing of all labor required to complete all work, including 
alterations, necessary for a permanent and successful operation of all 
equipment furnished under the contract.  All accessories and hardware 
furnished by the Contractor shall be new and of good commercial quality.  
The Contractor will be responsible for the integration of new components 
and/or equipment with components and/or equipment presently installed so 
that all equipment is properly aligned and all units properly timed in 
relation to each other to ensure successful operation.  The Contractor 
will be required to furnish and install necessary safety devices, and 
shall make a complete hookup of all electrical and utility service 
connections, including those to master panel, required for permanent 
and successful operation of the equipment.

    (c)  Installation and removal (if any) of equipment shall be 
accomplished in such a manner as to permit the                         to 
continue its business substantially uninterrupted, with curtailment of 
customer service authorized only to the extent absolutely necessary for 
the Contractor to properly perform under the contract.  Normal 
work hours at _________________ are assumed to be ____________ Monday 
through Friday, except legal holidays.  The Contractor shall, however 
make arrangements for working hours by contacting the _______________, 
telephone ____________________, Ext: ____________.

    (d)  All costs incidental to the installation, as hereinabove defined, 
will be assumed by the Contractor.  Prospective offerors are therefore 
requested and urged to visit the site of installation at _________________ 
to make their own determination as to the amount of supplies, material and 
labor, and the costs thereof, which will be required to make complete 
installation of new equipment and remove old equipment (if any) as 
specified herein and in accordance with the terms and conditions of this 
solicitation.  The final inspection and acceptance of equipment shall be 
performed at destination after the performance tests indicated units are 
operating at maximum efficiency and are acceptable to the Contracting Officer 
or his representative.  The successful offeror will not be relieved from 
assuming all responsibility for properly estimating the difficulties and 
determining the cost of all supplies, material, and labor required to 
successfully accomplish the installation as herein defined, due to his 
failure to visit the site of installation and investigate the conditions 
or to become acquainted with all available information concerning the 
installation.  Prospective offerors may make appointment to visit the

    (e)  The Contractor shall, promptly upon award, contact the ____________
to establish a work schedule that will result in completion of the contract 
on or before scheduled delivery date, consistent with the foregoing stated 
limitations on curtailment of service, at the minimum cost to the Contractor.  
The Contractor shall furnish a copy of the work schedule to the Contracting 
Officer and shall promptly notify the Contracting Officer of any circumstances 
that arise which would delay or threaten to delay accomplishment of the 
contract in accordance with the work schedule.  In the event the Government 
determines it is not feasible to install the equipment within ______ days 
subsequent to date of delivery, the services of installation of equipment 
may be canceled and the total contract reduced by the amount stipulated in 
the contract for these services.
