DSCR I91: OPTION TO EXTEND TERM OF CONTRACT - SUPPLIES

I91      52.217-9G08  OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT -   DSCR (JAN 1996)
                      SUPPLIES

    (a)  The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice 
to the contractor no later than 30 days prior to the expiration of the contract; 
provided, that the Government shall give the contractor a preliminary written notice 
of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires.  The preliminary 
notice does not commit the Government to an extension.

    (b)  If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be 
considered to include this option provision.  Each exercise of this option, if any, 
will extend the term of this contract by 12 months.  The total duration of this 
contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not 
exceed ______ months.

    (c)  THE OFFEROR AGREES TO FURNISH DURING THE OPTION PERIOD THOSE ITEMS CITED IN THE 
SCHEDULE AT UNIT PRICES AS INDICATED BELOW:
